Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for an Office Coordinator to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As an integral member of our administrative support staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our program managers and teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising designated staff, assigning work, determining priorities, and monitoring performance
  • Performing payroll functions, maintaining time-keeping and attendance records, and reviewing timesheets for accuracy
  • Maintaining administrative and program staff work schedules, coordinating vacation schedules, and pre-approving extended leave requests
  • Assisting with recruitment and selection, preparing forms related to staffing changes, new hires, and postings
  • Preparing purchase orders and requisitions, verifying codes and calculations, tracking invoices, and following up on discrepancies

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also provide administrative/clerical support to the program, performing duties such as developing and maintaining record-keeping systems, screening and prioritizing incoming mail, managing schedules, arranging meetings, taking minutes, composing correspondence, and coordinating services according to priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to type 50 wpm
  • Demonstrated ability to use applicable computer equipment and software at an intermediate level
  • Working knowledge of applicable components of relevant collective agreements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general office practice and procedures and their application
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant acts, regulations, programs, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment
