Job Summary:

The Site Supervisor is a key role within the Bouchier Group, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction sites. This position requires a strong leader who can mentor and guide a team of heavy equipment operators and laborers to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of heavy equipment operators and laborers to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Assign work to employees based on job requirements, site conditions, and available resources.
  • Maintain the security and condition of physical assets, including heavy equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate worker performance to ensure productivity and adherence to established standards.
  • Develop safe work assignment plans and oversee the approval of Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).
  • Collaborate with the HSE Specialist to foster a proactive safety approach and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of proven leadership experience in a construction or heavy equipment operations environment.
  • 5-10 years of experience as an equipment operator is required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required; Class 1 or 3 license is considered an asset.
  • CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019) is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and previous experience with Maximo are considered assets.
