Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence and Data Analytics professional to join our team at Imperial. As a member of our Kearl Oil Sands Operations Support team, you will play a key role in enhancing data analytics and visualization capabilities to drive business decision making and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial and non-financial data, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process and digital automation, as well as systems integration, to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain data visualization products using PowerBI, sharing knowledge with colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Support the development of SharePoint sites for data sharing and SAP automation processes.
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in a STEM or data analytics related post-secondary program.
- Business acumen with a general understanding of finance and accounting topics.
- Demonstrated skill in data architecture, data modeling, and data analysis and visualization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, with experience in SharePoint, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex results in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-starter with a keen interest in data and process improvement, and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
