Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer to join our team for a 24-month contract in Calgary, AB.

Job Details

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Intelligence and Analytics Developer to track and analyze data for project analysis and ETL testing of agent and call data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate Data Integrity: Perform validations to ensure the extracted data reconciles with source data.
  • Internal Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform internal data analysis and reporting using Business Intelligence tools and programming languages such as Python.
  • Power BI Dashboard Development: Assist with Power BI dashboard development using best practices.
  • Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics: Explore the possibilities of using machine learning and predictive analytics for simulations.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: Two (2) years' working experience within the last 3 years in developing and delivering successful business intelligence and analytics projects or supporting BI&A solutions in production with one or more of the following technologies:
    • A data integration tool such as Informatica or Python Libraries (pandas, pyodbc, Beautifulsoup)
    • A BI&A report and dashboard tool such as BusinessObjects or Power BI
    • Big data frameworks / platforms such as Hadoop, Cluster computing frameworks such as Spark, Python batch processing or parallel computing
    • Data virtualization platforms such as Denodo;
  • Data Modelling Principles: Two (2) years experience in applying data modelling principles such as Kimball Dimensional Modelling;
  • Database Technologies: Two (2) years' experience in database technologies, database, and scripting such as Oracle or SQLServer.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels.
  • Experience with 911 Systems: Experience with 911 systems such as Computer Aided Dispatch, telephony, workforce management systems or radio systems.
