About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. As an ECE, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 10 years in our Care for Newcomer Children Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a Child Lead Play Program that responds to the diverse needs and learning styles of children.
  • Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the Person in Charge and CNC Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Provide a safe and inclusive environment that promotes children's sense of belonging and well-being.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience and qualifications relevant to the Care for Newcomer Children Program.
  • The ability to work with diverse clients and implement a Child Lead Play Program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and education to children.
