Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Fan-Tastic Scholars East Inc. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our children.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes assessing children's development, preparing learning plans, and implementing child-care programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment, supervising children, and communicating with parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and prepare learning plans tailored to their needs.
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including supervising children and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by early childhood educators or supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move children as needed.
Work Environment:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a fast-paced childcare centre environment, interacting with children, parents, and staff on a daily basis. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
