Job Title: Accounting and Financial Analyst

Hydro One Networks Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting and Financial Analyst to join our Distribution Work Management - Reporting, Financial & Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to our business units, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and contributing to the development of financial models and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making
  • Provide financial analysis and support to business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
  • Previous experience in accounting and financial analysis, preferably in a utility or energy industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and other financial software applications
