Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst - Accounting to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial information, including revenue and investments, while utilizing established policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Analyst will also provide finance support to internal teams and external constituents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record investment transactions from custodian reports and verify accuracy through reconciliation
  • Prepare and analyze audit schedules for investments, including reconciliation of Investment Manager and Custodian reports
  • Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts, including bank and investment accounts
  • Prepare and analyze audit schedules for annual audit
  • Review invoices for accuracy and arrange payment of Custodian and Managed Investment Managers
  • Prepare correspondence to Custodian/Investment Managers and follow up on transactions
  • Process gifts of securities, including verifying paperwork and making entries in financial systems
  • Reconcile revenue to bank accounts and post revenue from donor database to Financial Edge
  • Calculate and post the Funding Enhancement Initiative monthly
  • Prepare entries to record Investment Allocation and Payout for Endowment Funds quarterly using Fundriver software
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Knowledge of Investment Market and charitable sector accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and experience
  • Expert Excel skills
  • Strong judgement and problem solving skills
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
