Job Title: Guest Services Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Services Agent to join our team at Old Orchard Inn. As a Guest Services Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Group Arrivals and Departures: Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account the specific needs of each group.
  • Room Reservations: Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Information and Assistance: Provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services, as well as points of interest in the area.
  • Payment and Departure: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory and Maintenance: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, ensuring the well-being of guests and staff.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying, as needed.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls and relay messages, as well as assist guests with special needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests feel valued and appreciated.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in word processing software, central reservation systems, and internet applications.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to pass a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.
