Operations Manager

As an Area Manager at Amazon, you will play a critical role in leading a team of hourly workforce to deliver exceptional results in safety, quality, attendance, and performance. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong leadership and communication skills to drive business objectives and maintain a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve their full potential and contribute to the company's success.
- Operational Excellence: Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure seamless execution of business processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans and strategies that meet business objectives.
- Physical Demands: Lift up to 49 pounds, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, and stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
- Work Environment: Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud, and be subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs) and contribute to the development of new Operations sites and processes.
- Leadership Experience: 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Flexibility and Availability: Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Performance Metrics and Process Improvement: 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
