Job Title: Youth Worker

Nikhil's Anand & Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of our clients.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Youth Worker to implement life skills workshops, assess client needs, and provide individual and group counselling sessions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child welfare and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement life skills workshops to support the development of our clients
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to support their growth and development
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to support the emotional and psychological well-being of our clients
  • Assist clients with special needs and provide support with daily living tasks
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings to promote socialization and community integration
  • Offer mentoring and guidance to support the personal and professional development of our clients
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience in child welfare or a related field is an asset
  • First Aid Certificate and Food Safety Certificate are required
  • Criminal record check is required
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position working 30-35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.

The primary language of work is English.
