Job Title: Youth Worker

Nikhil's Anand & Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement life skills workshops to empower clients with essential skills for daily living.
  • Assess clients' relevant skill strengths and development needs to create personalized support plans.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for clients, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to address clients' emotional and psychological needs.
  • Provide support and assistance to clients with special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, promoting social integration and community engagement.
  • Offer mentoring and guidance to clients, helping them set and achieve personal goals.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience working with children and youth, preferably in a child welfare setting.
  • First Aid and Food Safety Certificates.
  • Criminal record check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including newcomers and refugees.
  • Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
