Job Title: Building Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Cleaner to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a Building Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Debris and Trash: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing needs.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Facilitate access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Mentorship Programs: Pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide training to create a welcoming work environment.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Cultural Competency Training: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities and provide cultural competency training to employees.
  • Elders' Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance.

Requirements: No degree, certificate, or diploma required. Will train. Work Language: English. Hours: 32 hours per week.
