Job Title: Building Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Cleaner to join our team at Alberta Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Building Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors. This includes sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, as well as dusting furniture and vacuuming carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Dust furniture
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Handle and report lost and found items
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers

Working Hours: 32 hours per week
