About the Role

Vancity is seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated test scripts using various testing frameworks and tools
  • Execute automated test cycles to ensure the quality of software applications
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and prioritize testing efforts
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members
  • Identify and report defects and issues to development teams
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and Scrum
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing tools and platforms
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Strong understanding of database management systems and SQL
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
