Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Physician to join our team at Forest Hills Family Practice in Cole Harbour. As a Family Physician, you will have the opportunity to work in a professionally managed clinic with a supportive team and a comfortable commute from downtown Dartmouth.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient examinations, take accurate medical histories, and order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures as needed.
- Provide expert consultation and referral services to other medical practitioners, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Act as a patient advocate, providing empathetic and personalized support to our patients.
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations, adhering to Nova Scotia Public Health requirements.
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health concerns as per Nova Scotia Public Health regulations.
This is a full-time position, with a 1.0FTE schedule.
Qualifications- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
