Sales Team Lead

We are seeking a highly organized and effective Sales Supervisor to join our team at Gateway Newstands. As a Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of our sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, including assigning duties and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Establish and maintain work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak periods.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a professional and courteous manner.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that stock is adequately stocked and rotated.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of office and volunteer staff as needed.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a sales or supervisory role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
- 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Permanent work term.
- English language required.
