Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Vascular Technologist II to perform a variety of noninvasive diagnostic procedures to detect vascular disease. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively interact with patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessment of signs and symptoms, including documentation of medical and surgical history, medications, and presenting symptoms.
- Conduct vascular testing, including duplex ultrasound examinations, pulse volume recordings, segmental Doppler pressure measurements, and treadmill stress studies.
- Perform vascular testing at various on-site locations and transport lab equipment as needed.
- Responsible for accurate and reproducible data collection, ensuring laboratory policies and protocols are followed.
- Assist with transportation of patients to and from the vascular lab when necessary.
- Report findings of examination to physicians, hospital staff, and others in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Successful completion of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography registry examination in both Vascular Technology and Vascular Ultrasound Principles, thus attaining certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- A minimum of five years experience in a vascular laboratory or two years experience in a vascular laboratory plus five years experience in a general ultrasound department.
Estimated Salary Range: $33.55 - $46.03 per hour.
