Job Summary

GRIZZLY PLUMBING & HEATING LTD. is seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our plumbing department, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Installation: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Site Preparation: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Pipe Fitting and Joining: Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and ensure that all plumbing systems are functioning properly.
  • Project Management: Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for plumbing projects, and plan and coordinate with other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in plumbing or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
