Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Moving Truck Driver to join our team at Hercules Moving Company Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations, utilizing your expertise in route optimization and navigation. Your strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential in ensuring the smooth execution of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, utilizing computer equipment and GPS technology.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques to improve overall team performance.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, operating straight or articulated trucks as required.
  • Oversee the condition of vehicles, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Record and report any incidents or accidents, maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Valid passport and driving record check (abstract).
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular overtime required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
