Project Logistics Specialist

C.H. Robinson is seeking a skilled professional to support the management and coordination of project freight, ensuring client satisfaction and delivering exceptional service. In this role, you will develop strong relationships with clients and their contractors, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate project files for various transportation modes, including truck, rail, sea, air, and barge.
  • Ensure timely shipment obligations are met, and client satisfaction is achieved.
  • Support rate negotiations, carrier strategy, and carrier selection.
  • Create billing and project report templates for Project Logistics Coordinators.
  • Build relationships with customer contacts at various levels.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, reporting, and claim settlement.
  • Address critical issues with client representatives and propose solutions.
  • Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of SOPs, KPIs, and other account-specific metrics.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, using internal analytics and market intelligence to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Adhere to corporate communication and confidentiality policies.
  • Design and execute solutions from quote to cash.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of project logistics experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Ability to work independently and provide onsite management of small to medium projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and follow-up.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or International Business.
