Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT, Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT, to join our Surgery Department at Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with a rotating schedule, working closely with our surgery team, including two board-certified surgeons. The successful candidate will possess exceptional patient care and technical skills, including anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent patient care and technical support in the surgery department
  • Assist with surgical procedures, patient preparation, and recovery
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Collaborate with the surgery team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Completed a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their owners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
