Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Complex Care and Recovery Program. As a member of our inter-professional team, you will provide client-centred psychiatric and general nursing care to individuals with serious mental illness and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate inter-professional plans of care for clients
  • Communicate with clients' social and community networks, and assess new referrals to the program
  • Liaise with other services in the Complex Care and Recovery Program and community agencies to coordinate care for clients
  • Work in partnership with clients, their formal and informal supports, and the team to support clients' successful integration into their communities
  • Contribute to program development, participate in clinical supervision, provide education support and supervision to students, and participate in research activities of the program

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current B.C.L.S. (CPR)
  • Two years of nursing experience, with preferred experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing
  • Effective decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to facilitate work within a collaborative, inter-professional environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing and addiction issues
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse ethno-cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language
