Job Summary:

Hastings Racecourse & Casino is seeking a skilled Track Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, tractors, and other equipment
  • Conduct barn and track area repairs, maintenance, and clean-up as required
  • Assist with other maintenance-related tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate heavy equipment
  • Proven ability to perform vehicular maintenance and repairs
  • Forklift experience an asset
  • Ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of racetrack surfaces and WHMIS an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal and credit record check
