Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Facilities Leadership Development Program as an Operations Manager Trainee. This 12-month comprehensive program will provide participants with classroom instructions, extensive on-the-job training, and self-study assignments to develop key skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop business acumen for managing a profit and loss statement and day-to-day operations
  • Gain a basic understanding of the Product Service Room and operate tinting and mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner
  • Assist in blending operations and assist in blending schedules and production planning efforts
  • Learn and understand the Customer Service function and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations and build positive relationships with customers
  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability and respond to and solve any customer complaints
  • Partner with Facility Manager/Sales Rep to make outside sales calls to increase market share
Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, sales, customer service or retail operations by the start of this development program
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to relocate for this position, if required
  • Must be willing to relocate, as required, upon completion of the Performance Coatings Group Facilities Leadership Development Program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or Sales
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in manufacturing, distribution, sales, customer service, or retail operations
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience in Sherwin-Williams Performance Coatings Group Operations
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Have prior work experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Have prior work experience utilizing a Point of Sale (POS) system
