Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our CAD systems, including Solidworks PDM administration and API integration. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive process and procedure improvements within the engineering department
  • Maintain Solidworks PDM vault, including settings, workflows, file and folder cards, add-ins, tasks, macros, and dispatch
  • Maintain CAD library, including the implementation of standard parts and start models
  • Provide training for new users as required
  • Monitor and manage integration between PDM and ERP in collaboration with IT
  • Co-ordinate with IT to support any updates or resolve issues as required
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, testing, & deployment
  • Support activities for mass update of data when required
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
  • In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Systems Engineering, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of Solidworks PDM administration and Solidworks API
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
