Medical Laboratory Professional, Preclinical Studies

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Professional to join our team at Charles River Laboratories. As a key member of our Clinical Laboratory department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our research and the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities- Sample Preparation and Analysis: Perform technical activities and follow directives from study/phase plans and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Phlebotomy: Conduct phlebotomy tasks with precision and attention to detail, maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Instrument Maintenance and Quality Control: Perform quality control procedures and maintain equipment to guarantee optimal performance and accuracy.
- Timely Task Completion: Adhere to preset schedules and deadlines to meet the demands of our research projects.
- Data Collection and Entry: Utilize computer systems for accurate and detailed data collection, ensuring seamless integration into our research database.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities align with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and health and safety regulations to uphold the highest standards of quality and integrity.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following essential qualifications:
- Education: A college diploma or equivalent in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
- Professional Certifications: Membership in the Professional Order of Medical Technologists of Quebec (OPTMQ) is mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail is crucial for ensuring accuracy and reliability in your work.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 kg, walking, standing, and stooping.
- Language Proficiency: Strong understanding of written English is necessary; bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
