As a skilled Medical Technologist, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of our research and maintaining the integrity of our pre-clinical studies. In this dynamic role, your primary responsibilities include performing technical activities, following directives from study/phase plans and procedures, and adhering to preset schedules.
Main Responsibilities
• Perform sample preparation and analysis with accuracy and precision.
• Conduct phlebotomy services with professionalism and care.
• Maintain quality control procedures and perform instrument maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks by adhering to preset schedules and meeting deadlines.
• Utilize computer systems for accurate and detailed data collection and record-keeping.
• Maintain the integrity of studies and fulfill regulatory agency requirements by performing tasks according to GLP, SOP, and health and safety rules.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should possess:
• A College diploma or equivalent in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Membership in the Professional Order of Medical Technologists of Quebec (OPTMQ).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting up to 20 kg, walking, standing, and stooping as needed.
• Strong understanding of written English is mandatory; bilingualism in French and English is preferred.
Working Conditions
This role offers a competitive salary of $23 per hour, annual bonuses based on performance, flexible scheduling, and regular working hours from Monday to Friday between 7am and 3:15 pm. You will be required to work during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the laboratory.
