Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Supervisor to join our team at the United Boulevard Recycling and Waste Centre. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of our equipment, ensuring timely repairs, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of mechanics and apprentices in performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Ensure all equipment and work areas meet safety regulations and company standards.
  • Minimize equipment downtime and ensure the fleet is ready for operations the next day.
  • Certify that the fleet meets corporate appearance standards.
Requirements
  • Red Seal Certificate in the Heavy Equipment Mechanic trade.
  • Previous leadership experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong technical knowledge of waste handling equipment.
  • Computer knowledge and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work late, weekends, and holidays as required.
