Job Title: Portfolio Management Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Portfolio Management Specialist at National Bank, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing and improving the UMA platform, and participating in the UMA investment committee. You will also be required to adjust and trade models, coach senior analysts, and resolve various issues and problems encountered by platform users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the UMA platform and UMA management mandates
  • Participate in the UMA investment committee
  • Adjust and trade models when necessary
  • Coach senior analysts and serve as a resource for them
  • Resolve various issues and problems encountered by platform users
  • Execute and/or supervise programs for the purchase and sale of securities, private funds, etc., to align portfolios with their investment policies
  • Ensure effective communication for advisors regarding portfolio integration progress or other operations on the UMA platform
  • Identify operational issues, formulate recommendations to resolve them, and implement solutions

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline
  • Six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
  • Possession of CFA or CIM certification
  • Excellent knowledge of financial markets and the financial advisory industry for individuals
  • Familiarity with National Bank's products, systems, and services is desirable
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Demonstrate curiosity, creativity, and proactivity
  • High level of autonomy and initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Inclination to provide fast and efficient service
  • Strong communication and writing skills in both languages
