About This Opportunity

Black & McDonald's Service team in Ottawa is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team as an HVAC Installer. If you are an independent, enthusiastic, and driven individual searching for a challenging opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the overall project performance, maintaining excellent relationships with all parties involved (trades, subcontractors, consultants, and clients).
  • Work closely with the assigned project manager, informing them of job progress and schedule updates.
  • Install various HVAC appliances, including refrigeration piping, control wiring, and unit heaters.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, and sub-trades.
  • Perform site activities such as equipment start-ups, system balancing, functional testing, and training.

Education Requirements
  • 313 A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic License.
  • G1 – Gas Technician Certificate TSSA.
  • ODP – Ozone Depletion License.
  • Additional Installation Certificates: 636 Venting, Gas tite, Equipment manufactures certificates, TSSA Brazing Certificate.
Work Experience Requirements
  • 5+ Years of experience in installation, servicing, and troubleshooting diverse HVAC equipment.
Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements
  • Available to travel to various locations and flexible hours.
  • Completion of safety training is an asset (i.e. working at heights).
  • Punctual, presentable, and respectful at all times.
