Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Yard Operator to join our team at Startec Compression & Process. As a Yard Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and organized work environment, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, and operating various equipment to support production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and stage materials for production, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays
  • Operate forklifts, loaders, and other equipment to move materials and supplies
  • Perform light maintenance on yard equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with department heads to coordinate material supply and production schedules
  • Contribute to process improvements and suggest better ways to organize and stage materials

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with steel fabrication, pipe, and steel nomenclature
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Able to operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, loaders, and man lifts
  • Pass a pre-employment physical, alcohol, and drug test
