Nurse Practitioner - Pain and Symptom Management

At BC Cancer, we are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Pain and Symptom Management team. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with complex pain and symptom needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic investigations as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on pain and symptom management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
