Survey GIS Technician

The Survey GIS Technician is a critical member of the seismic survey crew, responsible for collecting and processing mapping data for the production of paper and digital maps. This role is temporary and seasonal.

  • Collect, organize, process, and analyze various vector and raster data.
  • Produce paper maps and digital maps using ESRI products, Global mapper, OZI explorer, and Trimble office.
  • Prepare client deliverables according to their requirements, ensuring high-quality data meets company standards.
  • Support clients using different software packages, formats, projections, accuracies, and more.
  • Produce metadata files to support client requirements.
  • Analyze Lidar data to provide valuable insights.
  • Train and mentor junior Survey GIS Technicians.
  • Lead and maintain a safe working environment that complies with industry-related safety regulations and company protocols.
