About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to support our Seismic Project Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing GIS analysis and mapping services, as well as coordinating government approvals and permits for seismic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination of approvals for seismic project management operations, ensuring project deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Provide operational support for seismic project management and external clientele, including GIS analysis and mapping, cost tracking, and HSE tracking.
  • Work with project geophysicists and geophysical operations managers to design and create seismic surveys, obtain imagery and topo information from suppliers, and order and process lidar.
  • Coordinate and produce maps for seismic approval with the government, including topo, resource, imagery, trapper, and landowner maps.
  • Prepare, QC, and submit all maps for preliminary submission and final plans for government approvals.
  • Assist in building field packages for all seismic operations projects and provide GIS support to other groups within the organization as required.
  • Work with project geophysicists to provide georeferenced imagery and/or other value-added GIS services.
Requirements
  • A degree in GIS with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Esri software.
  • Industry-specific training and accreditation, i.e. Enform, is beneficial.
  • Extensive knowledge of seismic operations and methods is essential.
  • Knowledge of Canadian approvals processes and submission requirements is essential.
  • Has experience handling different types of imagery and spatial data.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications is essential.
