We are seeking a skilled finish carpenter to join our team at Wyecroft Trim & Door Group Inc. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the trade and be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work long hours
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Basic math skills and ability to measure and calculate
