The role involves assisting with experiment setup, collecting and managing research data, and maintaining field and greenhouse research areas. You will work closely with the research team to develop impactful research that shapes best management practices for sustainable and effective weed control.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up experiments and applying treatments in field, greenhouse, and lab studies
- Collecting, processing, and managing research data to support ongoing studies
- Maintaining field and greenhouse research areas, including tasks such as equipment operation, watering, weeding, mowing, planting/seeding, and scouting for weeds or turf conditions
This is a temporary staff appointment with up to 40 hours/week. We offer competitive pay and benefits to eligible employees.
Requirements:
- High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications include:
- Ability to work independently once provided training
- Interest in plants or related discipline
- Attention to detail and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
