Job Title: Liquor Store Manager

At Otter Co-op, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liquor Store Manager to lead our team at the Angry Otter Liquor store in Coquitlam, BC.

Job Summary

The Liquor Store Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the store, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of quality products and services to our guests. This role requires a strong leader who can build and maintain positive relationships with our guests, team members, and vendors, while ensuring the administrative requirements of the role are fully maintained at the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation and management of the liquor store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the Area Manager and lead the team to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the store's merchandising standards are being managed and maintained, and all programs are being implemented, measured, and managed.
  • Directly responsible for team member relations, including hiring, training, and development, and performance management.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in progressive retail management positions, with a proven successful track record. The ideal candidate will have a liquor, retail, and/or guest service background, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They will also have solid basic math skills, effective interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills, and the ability to work in a busy environment.
