Our Business
We operate three food and pharmacy stores, thirty-one Angry Otter liquor stores, two feed mills, two bulk petroleum facilities, the Angry Otter Tap & Forno and Brewery in North Vancouver, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, the Highwayman Pub in South Surrey, and twenty-five gas station/convenience stores.
Job Summary
We're seeking a Retail Store Associate to join our team at the Barnet Liquor Store. As a key member of our team, you'll provide excellent customer service to guests, process register transactions, and ensure the store is well-stocked and organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, and activate gift cards
- Ensure the register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
- Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
- Receive, check, and put away deliveries
- Keep the store and storage areas clean and organized
- Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
- Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Liquor retail experience is preferred
- Serving it Right license is required
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Problem solver and quick learner
- Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8-hour shifts
- Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
- MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
- MUST have open availability and be able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
