Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a hospital or medical facility setting. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct health assessments, identify patient needs, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance nursing skills.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
