About the Opportunity

Peace Collaborative Services is seeking two Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic team. As the ideal candidate, you will work collaboratively to integrate student programming with other disciplines such as Speech-Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Psychology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop intervention programs and conduct periodic re-assessment/evaluation of individual programs
  • Provide direct treatment intervention to specific children
  • Instruct teachers, assistants, volunteers, and parents in occupational therapy intervention techniques
  • Participate in case conferences, parent interviews, medical consultations, and clinic programming
  • Research and provide consultation regarding adaptive equipment and technical aids
Leadership Role
  • Supervise para-professional staff and provide programming input for Educational Assistants
  • Provide input into the direction and requirements of the Occupational Therapy program in various jurisdictions
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a quality assurance program
  • Provide input into annual operating and capital equipment budgets
  • Attend staff, department, and other meetings as required
Qualifications
  • You work well independently and can show initiative
  • You are self-motivated, and an enthusiastic learner with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be registered or eligible to be registered with ACOT and/or CAOT
  • Valid driver's license (Travel required)
  • Provide Police Information Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check
  • Pediatric experience is an asset
