Job Title: Intermediate Environmental Scientist

Vertex is seeking an experienced Intermediate Environmental Scientist to join our team in Ontario. As an Intermediate Environmental Scientist, you will play a critical role in the execution of environmental site assessments, remediation, and reclamation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assessment, reclamation, remediation, and monitoring projects for oil and gas clients
  • Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
  • Plan and conduct drilling, soil sampling, and groundwater monitoring
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with municipalities, First Nation communities, and other government entities
  • Coordinate and assist with internal project managers and environmental technical discipline leads
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in managing environmental projects
  • Membership or eligibility for membership in a professional organization
  • Strong client management and communication skills
  • Superior technical report writing skills
