Job Title: Plant Maintenance Technician

Engineered Air is a leading manufacturer of industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, with a strong presence in Canada and the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of machines and building systems.
  • Conduct maintenance inspections and repairs, using observation and technical skills to ensure safe practices.
  • Adjust, inspect, and record work completed, using blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Assemble, dismantle, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
  • Use a variety of tools, including hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Clean or lubricate machinery parts, and analyze information to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards, using relevant information and individual judgment.
  • Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic principles.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Develop an understanding of all equipment to ensure daily operation and minimize downtime.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems.
  • Certificates, licenses, or training in Forklift License, Overhead Crane, WHMIS, Emergency Procedures and Evacuation, PPE, and ability to communicate with all workers regardless of barriers.
  • Able to operate and control equipment or systems, possess above-average math skills, and be able to visualize calculations.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and control drawings, knowledge of building automation systems, life safety systems, electrical systems, and HVAC.
