Director of International Campus Operations

The Campus Director, International will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of educational programs to international students on campus. This position requires a strategic thinker who can implement and manage quality customer service, instructional delivery, career placement systems, and procedures to onboard and retain students.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, train, and mentor direct reports to ensure the success of international students.
- Communicate grade reporting timelines and ensure instructors submit grades on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in all aspects of program delivery and education within the Quality Assurance Framework.
- Coordinate with Academic Services to support Program Coordinators and Instructors involved in curriculum development projects.
- Ensure the educational, physical, social, and special needs of students are met.
- Ensure programs follow the established sequence of courses and exam timetables, and students graduate and complete diploma and certification exams to meet corporate graduate and placement standards.
- Conduct quality assurance surveys and spot-check classroom satisfaction.
- Authorize student terminations and dismissals as per policies and procedures.
- Manage instructor scheduling and professional development.
- Review Quality Assurance Surveys and initiate corrective or improvement actions.
- Plan and facilitate the onboarding activities of new instructors.
- Ensure a positive working relationship and regular reporting to the international student education partner.
- Work with Employment Specialists and management to develop employer contacts that facilitate internship placements and ensure job placement of graduates.
- Recommend and implement systems, policies, and procedures that promote operational efficiency.
- Lead and facilitate new student orientation events and activities.
- Ensure the capital budget is effectively spent to refresh classroom equipment and maintain an effective educational environment.
- Post-secondary degree in education, business, or technology.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a comparable educational environment.
- Knowledge of instructional techniques (teaching experience an asset).
- Knowledge of educational delivery to international students.
- Knowledge of government regulatory climate of education in Ontario.
- Knowledge of sales and customer service issues.
- Experience working with accounting, budgeting, and financial statements.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
- Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license. Travel within the Greater Toronto Area may be required.
