Job Summary:

The Maintenance II role at Prairie Mountain Health is a key position responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, grounds, and equipment. This includes performing routine repairs, maintenance, and installations, as well as participating in new construction and commissioning projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the buildings and grounds in a safe and attractive condition, ensuring that driveways, parking areas, and building exits are clear of snow, ice, and debris.
  • Perform ground keeping duties to maintain the appearance of the facility grounds.
  • Ensure all machinery, equipment, and furnishings are in proper working order.
  • Carry out a preventative maintenance program on all mechanical and electrical equipment, recording daily on a preventative maintenance log.
  • Maintain a log for all repairs to major pieces of equipment.
  • Perform duties of plumbing, carpentry, painting, refrigeration, ventilation, air conditioning, roofing, and other hospital equipment maintenance as personal knowledge and skill permits.
  • Respond to emergency calls, such as fire alarms, and participate in on-call rotations as required.
  • Receive and store deliveries of goods.
  • Clean and maintain all maintenance areas, workshops, and mechanical rooms on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
