Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert to join our team at Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. as a Technical Expert AI Data Security. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing state-of-the-art AI data security technologies applicable to consumer applications and cloud environments, covering all stages of AI training and inference, including traditional AI and large language models (LLMs) scenarios.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate the security and privacy aspects of large-scale AI systems, including speech assistants, advertising, and fraud detection.
  • Design and implement technology prototypes for validating and demonstrating the feasibility of AI data security solutions.
  • Develop and publish research results in well-known conferences and lead industry analysis and insights.
  • Plan new features and strategic directions for AI data security solutions.

Requirements:

  • PhD's degree or equivalent experience in computer or electrical engineering or related fields, with a research mindset and 4+ years of industry-relevant R&D experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: C++, Python, or Java.
  • Extensive experience in system architecture design and security and privacy aspects of large-scale AI systems.
  • Expertise in detection and prevention techniques for training data extraction, model theft protection, and removal of memorized information or nullifying the impact of problematic training data on a model.
  • Possessing expertise in adversarial attack detection and design of modification-resistant models.
