Job Title: Daycare Aide

Alphabet Daycare South is seeking a dedicated and caring Daycare Aide to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children.

Responsibilities:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
  • Tasks:
    • Engage children in storytelling and interactive activities
    • Order and manage supplies and equipment
    • Assist early childhood educators in maintaining accurate records
    • Participate in staff meetings to discuss child progress and address any concerns
    • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
  • Support for diverse groups:
    • Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities for individuals with disabilities
    • Provide mentorship programs for newcomers and refugees
    • Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities for youth
    • Support mentorship and coaching opportunities for Veterans
    • Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities for Indigenous workers
    • Support mentorship and coaching opportunities for mature workers
    • Offer mentorship programs for visible minorities
  • Work Details:
    • Work Term: Permanent
    • Work Language: English
    • Hours: 40 hours per week
