About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and versatile Labourer to join our Lafrentz Road Marking team in Acheson, AB. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for supporting our Durables Division in ensuring effective and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with safe work procedures and practices while contributing to road marking projects.
  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Keep current and accurate driver logs using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD or eLog).
  • Execute and maintain temporary traffic accommodations, including signs, arrowboards, barricades, and traffic cones.
  • Assist operators, lead hands, and foremen in their duties.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license (Class 5) with a recent commercial drivers abstract is required.
  • You must own reliable transportation, as public transit is not available in Acheson.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is essential.
  • Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 40kg/90lbs, is required.

Total Compensation

  • Salary starting at $20 per hour, paid weekly.
  • Regular overtime hours.
  • Night shift premium.
  • Per-diem paid when working outside the Edmonton area.
  • Hotel rooms booked and paid for by the company.
  • Group health benefits, including dental, vision, medical, disability, and life insurance, after a 90-day probationary period.
