About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to coordinate and schedule cases in criminal, family, and civil courts. As a Trial Coordinator, you will provide administrative services to the judiciary and maintain court lists using established scheduling practices.

Key Responsibilities:

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you must possess oral and written French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.

You should also have demonstrated analytical skills to assess data and provide recommendations, as well as proven ability to use effective organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet competing deadlines.

In addition, you should have the ability to use tact and diplomacy effectively when liaising with stakeholders, including staff, professionals, and the public, and demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the functions and rules of the Superior or Ontario Court of Justice, relevant legislation, and legal terminology
  • Experience with secretarial and office administrative practices
  • Proficiency with computers and various software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, email, Internet, and management information systems

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $32.11-$38.34 per hour, based on the job requirements and location. As an employee of the Ontario Public Service, you will be entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as access to pension plans and other employment benefits.
