About the Role:
Giant Tiger is seeking a part-time Store Associate to join our team in Gatineau (Aylmer). As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales floor team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Accurately record customer transactions and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Replenish merchandise around the checkout area and maintain planograms, labels, and tickets.
- Perform cycle counts and ensure compliance with all policies, including those related to tobacco and lottery sales.
- Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, and report any incidents or concerns to management.
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
Working Conditions:
The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for long periods, bending, twisting, and squatting, as well as lifting and moving up to 18 kg (40 lbs.).
